COMPETITION

PROFESSIONALS CATEGORY

In this nomination can participate dancers of the certain age stated above whose profession is connected with dances or your level of dancing is already strong enough to move up to professionals category.

The participant of the nominations of professionals can't participate in the solo nominations of amateurs.

 

PROFESSIONALS - ORIENTAL SOLO

• Dance duration – no more than 3:30 minutes.

• The allowed styles: Oriental (Raqs Sharqi), Tarab, Modern Oriental, Baladi Oriental.

• "Techno" version of music isn't allowed.

• Tabla solo part can be used only 1/3 all compositions.

• Veil can be used only 1/3 all compositions.

 

PROFESSIONALS - FOLK SOLO

• Dance duration – no more than 3 minutes.

• All folklore styles of the Arab countries and the Middle East, except Andalusia are allowed: Saidi, Baladi, Nubia, Gawazi, Hagala, Algirian, Tunissian, Khaligy, Fellahi, Escandarani, Dabke, Bandari, Iraqi, Shamadan (if the music complies with the folklore style), Shaabi (except Street shaabi -it is a separate nomination) and others.

• "Techno" the version of music isn't allowed.

• Music and a costume have to correspond to the chosen style.

• Use of thematic accessories is allowed.

PROFESSIONALS - TABLA SOLO

• Dance duration – no more than 3 minutes.

• Techno version of music is allowed.

 

LYRICAL SONG

• Dance duration – no more than 3 minutes.

PROFESSIONALS - SHOW BELLYDANCE & FUSION SOLO

• Dance duration – no more than 3 minutes.

• The technic of an oriental dance is necessary.

• Acrobatic tricks are allowed.

• Admissible styles – Show – the dramatized performance, or the Fusion – a mix of different styles.

• It is strictly forbidden to use fire and other pyrotechnics!!!

• It is possible to use any other necessary attributes and scenery, but after performance the scene has to remain as it should be!

PROFESSIONALS - MODERN EGYPTIAN POP SONG & STREET SHAABI

• Here you can dance by the modern popular Egyptian songs like „El Ghazaya Ra2ya“, „El Youm El Helw Dah“, „Ekhtayaraty“ and other same style music. Or by old good street shaabi compositions with exactly Mahraganat (electronic style) music compositions.

• Dance duration – no more than 3 minutes.

• Must be technic of street /pop shaabi style.

• Music and a costume have to correspond to the style.

PROFESSIONALS „QUEEN OF IMPROVISATION“

The nomination consists of 3 parts:

• 1 min – Mejanse

• 1 min – Takasim

• 1 min – Tabla solo

• Participants will hear the music for the first time only on the stage, therefore it will be 100% improvisation.

The first general part – mejanse, will be improvised by all dancers at the same time. Takasim and tabla solo - depending on number of participants. If there are few participants – everyone will separately improvise. If there will be a lot of participants, on 2-3 participants at once.
