COMPETITION

The GRAND PRIX title and the first prize — a full workshop package at one of the international festivals offered this year by our sponsors — will be awarded to the participant who, within her age category, receives the highest total score in the following nominations: Oriental, Folk, and Tabla Solo.
For the Ladies and Grand Ladies age categories, only the Oriental and Folk nominations are counted toward the GRAND PRIX score. Tabla Solo is not required for these categories.
Participation in all nominations is not mandatory. A participant may compete only in the nominations she chooses.
If a participant wins first or another prize place in any nomination, she will receive a cup or medal, a diploma, and additional prizes.
However, to compete for the GRAND PRIX title and the main prize, participation in all required nominations is mandatory. All other nominations are judged and awarded separately.

General Rules
• Participation in the competition is possible only after submitting an application before the specified deadline and paying the participation fee.
• Nominations are divided into Professional and Amateur categories. A participant registered in the Professional category may not compete in the Amateur category.
• Multiple group applications from the same studio are allowed; however, the dancers in each group must be different.
• A teacher may perform in a group but not as a main dancer or in a solo role.
• A nomination may be cancelled if fewer than three applications are received. In case of an insufficient number of participants, nominations may be merged (for example, big groups with small groups, juniors with youth, etc.).
• Judges reserve the right to lower scores if a performance does not comply with the nomination rules, does not correspond to the declared style, or does not meet general standards of conduct. Participants will not be disqualified for these reasons.
• The organizers are not responsible for judges’ decisions. Judges’ decisions and final results are not subject to appeal. However, participants have the right to request judges’ comments and explanations of their scores.
• To reserve a competition spot, participants must complete the registration form and make payment after receiving a confirmation email no later than April 10.
• If payment is not received by the deadline, the registration will be cancelled.
• The registration fee is non-refundable if the participant is unable to attend the event.
• IMPORTANT: To participate in the competition, all soloists must purchase at least one workshop.

CRITERIA OF JUDGING

1. Image (costume, make-up, hair, identity, compliance of an image to style of dance).

2. Technic (workmanship of technical elements, level of complexity, plastic, possession of a body).

3. Musicality (whether there corresponds music to criteria, style, how the participant hears rhythms and understands the music).

4. Choreography (use of lexicon in dance, the choice of dancing elements, their composition, figures, use of a dance floor, variability and originality of use of various sheaves, compliance of movements to rhythmic drawing of music as far as corresponds to age of the participant).

5. Personality (manner of performance, communication with public, ability to transfer the conceived idea in dance).

6. Synchronism (in groups).

Above the listed criteria are estimated on 10 points system from 0 to 10. Defining places, the average arithmetic number of points is calculated. If several participants gather identical number of points, the participant who has gathered more than points for technic rises by higher position.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS

• Music has to be provided at registration (on an e-mail).

• In the name of the file it has to be specified: name, surname of the participant (for groups - the name of group or studio, style), the nomination.

• Applications are accepted till April 10, 2026.

• To reserve your spot in a competition you need to fill out the form and make payment after receiving a confirmation email until April 10.

It should be named like: CATEGORY – NOMINATION – NAME SURNAME
